Youths between the ages of 15 to 22 may take part in a youth exchange program organised by Lions Clubs International. These exchanges are aimed to provide a cultural learning opportunity for their participants. There are two types of exchange.
A Youth Exchange enables a participant between the ages of 15 to 21 to stay with one or more families in one of 190 countries. These last between four to six weeks.
A Youth Camp consists of a stay of one to two weeks at a camp and is for participant between the ages of 16 to 22. Another part of the package is living with a local family for one to four weeks. These camps are held in 39 countries.
Young people are selected through a rigorous process at the Multiple District level. Some financial assistance may be available from the Knutsford Lions Club for participants.
