MedicAlert is an organisation that provides a life saving identification system for people with hidden medical conditions and allergies.
People with these conditions can register with the organisation and select a bracelet or necklace with details of the main conditions and an emergency phone number. In an emergency the medics can call the number and gain further personal and medical information.
Rapid access to the personal and medical information together with the medics knowing to look for the necklace or bracelet has lead to lives being saved.
Knutsford Lions donate annually to MedicAlert. They are also willing to consider paying some of the costs for people with a hidden medical condition from the Knutsford area to register for the scheme.
