Museum in the Street

Knutsford Lions developed the Knutsford Museum in the Street with the aid of local historian Joan Leach and Knutsford Photographic Society member Peter Spooner.

The Museum in the Street consists of seven plaques with images and text set up at key points within the town centre. The first plaque, situated within Canute Square, contains all the images and details of the project on one side. The other side contains information about the area around Canute Square.

The six remaining plaques contain historical information and photos about the area of Knutsford visible from their location.

This museum has proved popular with locals and visitors to Knutsford who can learn about the history and see the changes that have occurred over the years.
